Inertia and spectral results for matrices \(A_{n}\) having the \(n\)-by-\(n\) antipodal tridiagonal sign pattern \(T_{n}\) with \(n\geq 2\), are proposed using new techniques on low rank perturbations. In addition, bounds on the algebraic multiplicity of an eigenvalue of a low rank perturbation of a general matrix are obtained.
