The paper describes subiteration procedures at each time step when solving thin-layer Navier-Stokes equations with explicit and implicit codes. The subiterations are used either to reduce time step limitations of the explicit method or to increase time-stepping accuracy of the implicit one. Two types of subiterations are investigated which can be referred to as pseudo and physical time iterations. The results of calculations for laminar flow over a circular cylinder and turbulent flow over an 18\% thick circular-arc airfoil are presented. The relative efficiency of the techniques is discussed.
