Let \(M\), \(N\) be Lipschitz manifolds without boundary and \(C_{\text{LIP}}(M,N)\) the space of Lipschitz mappings from \(M\) to \(N\) with the compact-open Lipschitz topology introduced by the first author and \textit{K. Abe} [J. Math. Soc. Japan 53, No. 3, 501--511 (2001; Zbl 0997.58003)]. Let \({\mathcal H}_{\text{LIP}}(M)\) be the group of Lipschitz homeomorphisms of \(M\), which is a subspace of \(C_{\text{LIP}}(M, M)\). In the previous papers [loc. cit.; J. Math. Soc. Japan 55, No. 4, 947--956 (2003; Zbl 1043.58003) and J. Math. Kyoto Univ. 41, No. 3, 507--515 (2001; Zbl 1012.58005)], the authors investigated the structure of the group of Lipschitz homeomorphisms with compact support and its subgroups. In the present paper they prove the following nice topological property of \(C_{\text{LIP}}(M, N)\) (well known in smooth categories). Theorem A. The spaces of Lipschitz immersions, submersions and embeddings from \(M\) to \(N\) are open in \(C_{\text{LIP}}(M, N)\) when \(M\) is compact. Corollary 10. Let \(M\) be a compact Lipschitz manifold. Then \({\mathcal H}_{\text{LIP}}(M)\) is open in \(C_{\text{LIP}}(M, M)\). The space of Lipschitz embeddings and the group of Lipschitz homeomorphisms are also studied in the non-compact case Theorem 14. Let \(M\) be a non-compact Lipschitz manifold and \(N\) be a Lipschitz manifold. \(\text{Emb}_{\text{LIP}}(M, N)\) is open in \(C_{\text{LIP}}(M, N)\) with the strong Lipschitz topology. Theorem 15. Let \(M\) be a non-compact Lipschitz manifold. Then \({\mathcal H}_{\text{LIP}}(M)\) is open in \(C_{\text{LIP}}(M, M)\) with the strong Lipschitz topology.
