The time evolution of an one-dimensional quantum system with an attractive delta function potential whose strength is subjected to a time periodic parameter variation \(\eta(t)\) is considered in this paper. The authors discuss the solutions of the Schrödinger equation \[ i\hslash\partial_t\psi= [H_0+ H_1(t)]\psi,\tag{1} \] where \(\psi\) is the wavefunction of the system, belonging to some Hilbert space \({\mathcal H}\), \(H_0\) and \(H_1\) are Hermitian operators and equation (1) is to be solved subject to some initial condition \(\psi_0\); this problem can be reduced to the solution of an integral equation in a single variable. Setting \[ Y(t)= \psi(x=0,t) \eta(t) e^{it},\tag{2} \] \(Y(t)\) satisfies the integral equation \[ Y(t)= \eta_{(t)} \Biggl\{ I(t)+ \int_0^t [2i+ M(t-t')] Y(t') dt'\Biggr\}. \tag{3} \] If give certain limitation to \(M(t-t')\) in equation (3), then the \(Y(t)\) can be solved from (3) explicitly, and thus some new results can be obtained.
