In the paper, the problem of local exact controllability to the trajectories of the Boussinesq system is discussed. It is assumed that the domain of definition of the solution is either flat (\(N=2\)) or spatial (\(N=3\)) and equations of dimension \(N+1\) are supported in small sets. First, for a linearized Boussinesq system, the author specifies an adjoint system, for which a new Carleman inequality is introduced. On the base of these estimates, the author proves the local null controllability of an auxiliary nonlinear system of equations. The latter is chosen so that its the local null controllability is equivalent to the local exact controllability to the trajectories of the Boussinesq system.
