The guiding theme of this article is a modified version of King's conjecture, that there exists a full strong exceptional collection of line bundles on every smooth nef-Fano toric DM stack. First, a short review is given on toric stacks as [in \textit{L. A. Borisov, L. Chen} and \textit{G. G. Smith}, J. Am. Math. Soc. 18, No. 1, 193--215 (2005; Zbl 1178.14057)], and on line bundles on these stacks. Thereafter, the authors focus on the cohomology of line bundles. One of the main observations is a sufficient criterion for the acyclicity of line bundles, which is given as linear inequalities in the Picard group. In the case, that a smooth toric DM stack \(X\) is either nef-Fano with Picard rank at most \(2\) or del Pezzo with arbitrary Picard rank, this criterion is used to prove the conjecture. More precisely, they show, that there is a polytope in the Picard group of \(X\), such that all line bundles in this polytope form a full strong exceptional collection. Finally, the authors give a detailed description of their construction in a special case and some indications about possible obstacles when generalizing this approach.
