The authors establish two new maximum principles for a class of second-order impulsive integro-differential equations with an integral jump condition. They also prove the existence of extreme solutions for a related periodic boundary value problem, by using the method of upper and lower solutions and the monotone iterative technique. The paper complements an earlier one by the authors et al. [Bound. Value Probl. 2012, Article ID 122, 21 p. (2012; Zbl 1281.34114)].
