Coupling the fluid dynamic equations with Maxwell's equations of electrodynamics gives the \(2 \times 2\) Brio nonlinear system of conservation laws \[ u_t + \left ( \frac{u^2 +v^2}{2} \right)_x=0 , \] \[ v_t +(uv-v)_x=0. \] Such initial value problems in spaces of distributions appear in plasma physics studies and have been widely developed during the last years. In this paper, the author constructs so-called \(\alpha\)-solutions to this system subject to initial conditions containing Dirac masses: \( u(x,0)=c_0 \delta(x)\), \(v(x,0)=h_0\delta(x)\). The concept of \(\alpha\)-solutions is based on \(\alpha\)-products of distributions; for more details, readers may refer to \textit{C. O. R. Sarrico} [J. Math. Anal. Math. Anal.
