The concept of super-potentials for positive closed currents was introduced by Dinh and Sibony in their works on complex dynamics. The main idea of the paper under review is the application of this concept to study the regularity of solutions of the complex Monge-Ampère equation. The main result says that the complex Monge-Ampère equation on a compact Kähler manifold with a measure \(\mu\) on the right hand side admits a Hölder continuous solution if and only if \(\mu\) has Hölder continuous super-potential. From this theorem the authors derive a number of sufficient conditions (on \(\mu\)) for the existence of Hölder continuous solutions. Some of them are new, and some has been known with different proofs. They also discuss the notion (and its variants) of moderate measures -- a necessary condition for Hölder continuous solutions.
