A problem on central configurations in the \(n\)-body problem with the general homogeneous potential of the form \(1/r^\alpha\) is considered in this work. Interesting relationships with the golden ratio \(\varphi\) are obtained for the so-called super central configurations. For example, one result states that for any \(r\notin (1/\varphi,\varphi),\) \(q=(0,1,1+r)\) is not a super central configuration.
