Let \(b_0, b_n, a_n, c_n\), \(n=1,2,\dots\), be elements of some Banach algebra \(\mathcal{R}\) with unit \(I\). Two-sided continued fractions in the Banach algebra \[ K=b_0+a_1 \Big(b_1+a_2 \big(b_2+\cdots \big)^{-1}\, c_2 \Big)^{-1} c_1 \] are considered in the paper. Finite constructions of the form \[ K_N=b_0+a_1 \Big(b_1+a_2 \big(b_2+\cdots \big(b_{N-1}+a_N b_N^{-1}c_N \big)^{-1} \cdots \big)^{-1}\, c_2 \Big)^{-1} c_1 \] are formally defined. If the limit \(K=\lim_{N\to \infty} K_N\) exists, \(K\) is called convergent two-sided continued fraction (TCF). A Pringsheim-type convergence criterion for TCF is proved and a new upper bound for the difference between the value of a TCF and its approximants are given. The bibliography contains 16 sources.
