The main results of the paper are: 1. Let \(X\) be a Banach space, \((\Omega, \Sigma, \mu)\) be a probability space, \(p \in (1, \infty)\), \(n \in \{3, 4, 5, \dots\}\). Then finite representability of \(\ell_\infty^{(n)}\) in \(X\) is equivalent to representability of \(\ell_\infty^{(n)}\) in \(L_p(\mu, X)\). 2. Let \(E\) be a Banach lattice, \(p \in (1, \infty)\). Then the \(p\)-convexification \(E^{(p)}\) of \(E\) is uniformly convex if and only if \(E\) is uniformly monotone. 3. Let \(E\) be an order continuous Banach lattice or a Köthe function space, \(p \in (1, \infty)\). Then the following conditions are equivalent: (i) \(E\) is upper locally uniformly monotone. (ii) The natural complexification of \(E\) is complex locally uniformly convex. (iii) \(E^{(p)}\) is midpoint locally uniformly convex.
