The admissible functions for a free vibration analysis of Mindlin rectangular plates are developed using Rayleigh-Ritz method. These functions are static solutions for Timoshenko beam under transverse sinusoidal series loads along the length of the beam, and are polynomial functions of third degree plus sine or cosine functions.
