One considers the Dirac operators with coefficients in auxiliary bundles and one proves Theorem 3.1. Let \(M\) be a compact \(4n\)-dimensional almost quaternionic, manifold admitting a smooth circle action preserving the almost quaternionic structure. Then there exists a compatible quaternion-Hermitian metric so that the circle action is isometric and the twisted Dirac operators \(\partial\otimes f^{p,q}\) are rigid (under the actionn if \(p+ q\leq n\) and \(p+ q\equiv n\pmod 2\). Furthermore \(\text{ind}(\partial\otimes F^{p,q})= \langle ch(F^{p, q})\widehat A(M), [M]\rangle= 0\) if \(p+ q< n\). Theorem 5.1. Let \(M\) be an \(8n\)-dimensional almost quaternionic manifold admitting an isometric circle action preserving the almost quaternionic strareture. Then the operators \(\partial\otimes TM_c\) and \(\partial\otimes S^2E\) are rigid. Some properties of the fixed point sets of smooth circle actions preserving the almost quaternionic structure are investigated.
