The authors examine an unsteady flow of incompressible generalized Maxwell fluid. The fluid is bounded by an accelerating plate confined between two vertical walls. The motion of the fluid takes place as the plate begins to slide with a constant acceleration. Fourier sine and Laplace transforms have been used to obtain the velocity in terms of Mittag-Leffler functions. Some particular cases have been shown to agree with known results. In the reviewer's opinion, the inclusion of some numerical work would have added value to this interesting work.
