A two-point function for spinors on maximally symmetric four-dimensional spaces is given in terms of intrinsic geometric objects. It is shown that in the massless case Weyl spinors in an anti-de Sitter space cannot satisfy the boundary conditions appropriate to super-symmetric models. A physical reason for this is discussed, and the four-component Killing bispinor of \textit{P. Breitenlohner} and \textit{D. Z. Freedman} [Ann. Phys. 144, 249-281 (1982; Zbl 0606.53044)] is re-expressed in terms of geometrical objects. This allows the two-point functions of the present study to be related to those of \textit{C. J. C. Burges}, \textit{S. Davis}, \textit{D. Z. Freedman} and \textit{G. W. Gibbons} [ibid. 167, 285-316 (1986; Zbl 0606.53045)].
