Let \({\mathcal A}\) be the class of functions \(f(z)=z+\sum_{k=2}^\infty a_kz^k\) that are analytic in the unit disc \({\mathcal U}=\{z:| z| <1\}.\) In this paper the author uses the theory of differential subordinations to prove several sufficient conditions over the bounds of functionals containing \(\frac{zf'(z)}{f(z)}\) and/or \(\frac{zf''(z)}{f'(z)}\) that imply \(f\in\mathcal A\) to be univalent and starlike. These conditions are generalization of previous results of Mocanu.
