The author proves an extension of the \(Tb\) theorem from [\textit{G. David, J. L. Journé} and \textit{S. Semmes}, Rev. Mat. Iberoam. 1, No.~4, 1--56 (1985; Zbl 0604.42014)] to operator-valued integral kernels acting on Banach-valued \(L^p\)-functions. The proof adapts ideas due to Figiel concerning the decomposition of Calderón-Zygmund operators into sums and compositions of certain elementary operators. Further ingredients are martingale estimates and the adaptive construction of bases similar to the Haar system. The main result of this paper is a substantial generalization of the original \(Tb\) theorem. In addition, the proof technique is novel even for the scalar-valued case.
