In this interesting paper the author introduces a new concept of compactness for fuzzy subsets of a fuzzy topological space. The introduction of this concept is strongly motivated. The other such notion, \(N\)-compactness, does not reduce to any of the known definitions of compactness in case the fuzzy subset coincides with the whole space and moreover it is a very strong notion (lying in between strong fuzzy compactness and ultra fuzzy compactness). The notion introduced by the author reduces to fuzzy compactness when applied to the whole space and behaves extremely well under the taking of closed fuzzy subsets, finite suprema, products and continuous images.
