The authors show uniform exponential stability for the Kirchhoff plate equation with one control acting through a second order boundary condition (as a moment only). They give an estimate such that exponential decay rates of system states are independent of the plate thickness parameter, that is, the properties of stabilization are robust with respect to the parameter. Using this result, they also show uniform exponential stability of the Euler-Bernoulli plate equation. In the analysis, geometric assumptions imposed on the domain are not required.
