The authors study the following nonlocal initial value problem \[ \begin{cases} u'(t)\in A(t)u(t)+F(t,u(t)) & \text{ a.e. } t \in [0,d], \\ u(0)=g(u), \end{cases} \] where \(F:[0,d]\times X \to 2^{X}\) is an upper Carathéodory multifunction with nonempty, closed and convex values, \(g : C([0,d],X)\to X\) is a given continuous function, \(\{A(t)\}_{t\in[0,d]}\) is a family of linear unbounded operators and \(X\) is a general Banach space. By using fixed point techniques for multifunctions, the authors give sufficient conditions for the existence of mild solutions.
