Isoparametric triple systems of FKM-type. II (Q788306): Difference between revisions

This paper is a continuation of the paper reviewed above. It serves a threefold purpose. First the FKM-triples of ''algebra type'' are classified. This result forms an essential part in the proof of the fact that the isoparametric hypersurfaces of ''algebra type'' do not contain new examples. Second, it is described to what extend the Clifford sphere of an FKM-triple is determined by the triple product. This result will be used in a subsequent paper (settling several open questions concerning the homogeneity of the focal manifolds). Third, the automorphism group of an FKM-triple is described. Also this is an important prerequisite for the following third part.
