Following \textit{N. Levine} [Am. Math. Mon. 70, 36-41 (1963; Zbl 0113.16304)] a subset \(A \subset X\) is called semi-open if there is an open set \(U\), such that \(U \subset A \subset \text{cl} U\), where cl denotes the closure operator. A semi-homeomorphism (C.H) is a bijective function for which both the images and inverse images of semi-open sets are semi-open. In the paper under review the authors introduce two new classes of mappings, namely semi-generalized homeomorphisms and generalized semi-homeomorphisms. Particular properties, e.g., their group structure are investigated, the domain and the range spaces being arbitrary topological spaces.
