This paper is concerned with two-phase flows when the velocities of the two phases tend towards a common value under the effects of drag forces. In the first section, the classical two-fluid model is recalled, and the authors show how to derive from it a reduced mixture model characterized by Darcy law for the drift (relative) velocity. The second section is devoted to the mathematical analysis of this model. A finite volume approximation of the problem is proposed, and some numerical applications are presented.
