A new version of \(c\)-equivalence specifically for autonomous Lagrangian systems is formulated. For such a purpose, a method to construct connecting orbits in energy surface based on this c-equivalence is developed. The autonomous Lagrangian systems are supposed to be of Tonelli type, i.e. they are functions satisfying the properties of positive definiteness and super-linear growth. The hypothesis of completeness is guaranteed for autonomous systems, because in the Hamiltonian formalism, each orbit entirely stays in some energy surface which is compact in the phase space. In addition, one uses the property that, for a positive definite Lagrangian, its \(\alpha\)- and \(\beta\)-functions are convex, finite everywhere and have super-linear growth.
