    The author proves an existence result for the singular two-point BVP of the form \(a(t,x,x') x''=f(t,x,x')\), \(t \in (c,d]\), \(x(c)=\lambda\), \(x(d)=\mu\) for \(a \in C\) \(([c,d] \times R^ n \times R^ n,R^{n \times n})\) with \(n>1\). The proof is based on a geometric method for systems of second order ODE's without singularities.
