A Ricci flow solution is immortal if it exists on the time interval \([0, \infty)\). In this paper, the authors show that for an immortal homogeneous Ricci flow solution any sequence of blow-downs subconverges to an expanding homogeneous Ricci soliton. This generalizes results in [\textit{J. Isenberg} et al., Commun. Anal. Geom. 14, No. 2, 345--386 (2006; Zbl 1121.53045); \textit{J. Lott}, Math. Ann. 339, No. 3, 627--666 (2007; Zbl 1135.53046); \textit{J. Lauret}, Commun. Anal. Geom. 19, No. 5, 831--854 (2011; Zbl 1244.53077); \textit{R. M. Arroyo}, Differ. Geom. Appl. 31, No. 4, 472--485 (2013; Zbl 1279.53061)]. A homogeneous Ricci flow can be converted to a so-called bracket flow (see [\textit{J. Lauret}, Math. Z. 274, No. 1--2, 373--403 (2013; Zbl 1272.53055)]) and, furthermore, to a gauged unimodular bracket flow, which is more convenient to study. In the proof, among other things, the authors use the real geometric invariant theory to deduce some new Ricci curvature estimates, and find a scale-invariant Lyapunov function for immortal homogeneous Ricci flows.
