Some interesting connections are shown between the minimizers of some parametrized extremal problems (the goal function of which contains the Dirichlet energy integral) and the limits of the minimizers, when the mentioned parameters go to zero. Asymptotic expansions are intensively used and the Ginzburg-Landau energy functional (containing a parameter itself) serves as a remarkable example.
