\textit{M. Jackson} [Int. J. Algebra Comput. 13, No. 4, 481-497 (2003; Zbl 1046.08005)] has shown that if a quasi-variety of bands admits a natural duality in the sense of \textit{B. A. Davey} and \textit{H. Werner} [Contributions to lattice theory, Szeged/Hung. 1980, Colloq. Math. Soc. János Bolyai 33, 101-275 (1983; Zbl 0532.08003)], then the quasi-variety consists of normal bands. The author proves that conversely, every quasi-variety of normal bands admits a natural duality. As a corollary, for every finite normal band \(B\), the clone of \(B\) is determined by a finite set of relations on \(B\). The latter result has been extended to finite regular bands by \textit{I. Dolinka} [Bull. Aust. Math. Soc. 87, No. 1, 1-9 (2013; Zbl 1275.20061)] and independently by \textit{P. Mayr} [Semigroup Forum 86, No. 3, 613-633 (2013; Zbl 1278.20077)].
