The notion of Barbilian domain as introduced and studied by \textit{W. Leissner} [J. Geom. 6, 31-57 (1975; Zbl 0296.50005) and ibid., 105-129 (1975; Zbl 0296.50006)] is refined to \(n\)-Barbilian domain in a free- module of rank \(n\). All possible \(n\)-Barbilian domains in \(R^ n\) are classified. Barbilian domains in free modules of infinite rank are also studied. Finally \(n\)-Barbilian domains are used to set up \(n\)-dimensional affine geometry over a ring.
