The evolution problem of the crystalline motion of an admissible polygon is related to the differential system \[ \dot{v}_j(t) = \alpha a^{-1/\alpha}_jv^{(\alpha +1)/\alpha}_j(\Delta_{\theta}v + v)_j, \,\,j\in \{0, 1, \dots, n-1\},\,\, t\in (0, T); \] \(v_n(t) = v_0(t)\), \(v_{-1}(t) = v_{n-1}(t)\), \(t\in [0, T)\), with some initial conditions. When \(t\) tends to the finite maximal time \(T>0\), a solution polygon \(P(t)\) either shrinks to a single point (point extinction) or collapses to a line segment (degenerate pinching). In all cases, the maximum of a solution \(v_j(t)\) diverges to infinity (blow-up) as \(t\to T\). In this paper, the exact blow-up rates are shown for some cases.
