About integrability of the degenerate system (Q2175574): Difference between revisions

The author investigates the integrability of the planar vector field \[ \dot x = -y^3 - bx^3y + a_0x^5 + a_1x^2y^2, \ \ \dot y = b^{-1}x^2y^2 + x^5 + b_0x^4y + b_1 xy^3, \] which depends on 5 parameters \(a_i, b_i\), \(b \neq 0\), in a neighborhood of the origin. Necessary conditions for the local integrability are established using the blowing-up technique and the method of local normal forms. It is shows that in the 5-dimensional parameter space there exist 7 two-dimensional manifolds, which satisfy these conditions. For six from seven of them, the analytic first integrals are calculated, this yields the global integrability of the vector field. In the seventh case, the formal first integral is established.
