This paper deals with the backward heat conduction problems (BHCP) formulated with a semidiscretization version. In order to evaluate the missing initial conditions for quasi-boundary value problems of the BHCP, the authors have employed the Lie-group shooting method. Three numerical examples of the BHCP are examined.
