[For part III see Numer. Algorithms 1, No. 4, 331-351 (1991; reviewed below).] The extensibility of trigonometric polynomials is shown by using Householder transformations. The decomposition of multivariate wavelet spaces depends on extensibility of maps, thus the result has direct application to it.
