The authors consider the following elliptic problem \[ \lambda u(x)-\Delta u(x)-Lu(x)=f(x), \;x\in S_d,\quad D_i^2u(x)=0,\;x\in S_d\cap\{x_i=0,1\},\;i=1,\ldots,d \] where \(S_d\) is the \(d\)-dimensional hypercube \([0,1]^d,\) \(\lambda\) is a positive constant and \(L\) is a second order differential operator. They prove that if the coefficients are of class \(C^{k+\delta}(S_d),\) with \(k=0,1\) and \(\delta\in(0,1),\) then the problem admits a unique solution \(u\) belonging to \(C^{k+2+\delta}(S_d).\)
