Curvature in special base conformal warped products (Q959992): Difference between revisions

The authors define and study two particular cases of warped product manifolds, called base conformal warped product and special base conformal warped product, respectively. The main geometrical invariants are computed and possible applications are mentioned (in general relativity, string and super-string theories, etc.). The authors characterize the situation when the warped product spaces are Einstein. A generalization of the Schwarzschild metric is also provided. The paper ends with an extensive list of references (113 items).
