The authors develop the theory of crystal bases for quantum queer superalgebras \(U_q(\mathfrak{q}(n))\). They define the notion of crystal bases for \(U_q(\mathfrak{q}(n))\) and prove the existence and uniqueness of crystal bases. One of big contrasts with the ordinary crystal basis theory is that a certain family of vector spaces contained in the quotient crystal lattice \(L/qL\) plays a role of vertices in the crystal graph. They also give the tensor product rule for crystal bases, which yields very simple combinatorial description of the tensor product of two crystals. This paper is an announcement of their work so it contains no proof.
