Regularity of solutions for a third order differential equation in Hilbert spaces (Q546016): Difference between revisions

The authors study the regularity of the solutions of the problem \[ \alpha u'''(t) + u''(t) +\beta Au(t) + \gamma Au'(t) = f(t)\quad (t\geq 0), \] with initial conditions \(u(0) = u_0,\;u'(0) = u_1,\;u''(0) = u_2\). They first construct a resolvent family for this problem. Under suitable assumptions on the parameters \(\alpha,\;\beta,\;\gamma\), or the initial data \(u_0,\;u_1,\;u_2\), they obtain results on the regularity of the mild or strong solutions of this problem. Some applications are also given.
