Let \(\mathcal{S}^n_0\) denote the space of star bodies of \(\mathbb{R}^n\) (i.e., star sets with continuous radial function). A radial valuation is a function \(V:\mathcal{S}^n_0\to\mathbb{R}\) such that \(V(A)+V(B)=V(A\cup B)+V(A\cap B)\) whenever \(A,B,A\cup B,A\cap B\in\mathcal{S}^n_0\). The authors obtain an integral representation of the radial continuous valuations. They show that every such valuation can be written as the following integral over the unit sphere \(S^{n-1}\): \[ V(L)=\int_{S^{n-1}}K(\rho_L(t),t)d\mu(t) \] Here, \(\rho_L\) is the radial function of \(L\in\mathcal{S}^n_0\), \(\mu\) is a finite Borel measure, and \(K:\mathbb{R}_+\times S^{n-1}\to\mathbb{R}\) is a function satisfying a Carathéodory condition and a boundedness condition. From this general result, they characterize in different ways all continuous radial valuations which arise from a measure on the Borel sets of \(\mathbb{R}^n\).
