Construction of compact \(p\)-wavelets (Q1801497): Difference between revisions

The paper generalizes the method of construction of compactly supported orthonormal scaling functions and wavelets introduced by I. Daubechies from scale \(p=2\) to other integer scales \(p>2\). Tables for the low order cases with scales \(p=3\) and 5 are also included. Again, same as the case \(p=2\) all the scaling functions are non-symmetric and the wavelets are neither symmetric nor anti-symmetric.
