The authors consider a foliation \(\mathcal F\) of a compact manifold \(M\) equipped with a holonomy invariant transverse Riemannian metric \(g_Q\) for the normal bundle \(Q\). They prove that \(g_Q\) can be deformed to a holonomy invariant transverse metric with constant positive sectional curvature provided that either (1) \(\operatorname {codim}{\mathcal F} =3\) and the Ricci tensor of \(g_Q\) is positive definite or (2) \(\operatorname {codim}{\mathcal F} =4\) and the curvature operator of \(g_Q\) is positive definite.
