A differential equation \[ \varphi\big(q,u,u',\ldots,u^{(n)}\big) = 0 \tag \(*\) \] is said to be Hyers-Ulam stable if for any \(\varepsilon>0\) and any function \(u\) satisfying \(\big|\varphi(q,u,u',\ldots,u^{(n)}\big|\leq\varepsilon\), there exists a solution \(u_a\) of \((*)\) such that \[ |u-u_a| \leq K(\varepsilon) \quad\text{and}\quad \lim\limits_{\varepsilon\to 0} K(\varepsilon) = 0. \] In this paper, the Hyers-Ulam stability of a class of fractional linear differential equations is established. With the Hyers-Ulam stability, the error bound of approximate solutions of the fractional differential equation can easily be computed in terms of the Mittag-Leffler function.
