\textit{B. Davvaz} and \textit{P. Corsini} [J. Intell. Fuzzy Syst. 18, No. 4, 377-382 (2007; Zbl 1132.20045)] introduced fuzzy \(n\)-ary hypergroups of first kind as a direct extension of the fuzzy groups defined by \textit{A. Rosenfeld} [J. Math. Anal. Appl. 35, 512-517 (1971; Zbl 0194.05501)]. This paper introduces new kinds of fuzzy \(n\)-ary hyperstructures, such as fuzzy \(n\)-ary hypergroups and fuzzy \((n,m)\)-ary hyperrings. These are generalizations of the definition given by \textit{M. K. Sen}, \textit{R. Ameri} and \textit{G. Chowdhury} in the context of semihypergroups [Soft Comput. 12, No. 9, 891-900 (2008; Zbl 1142.20054)]. In fact, a fuzzy \(n\)-ary hyperoperation on a nonempty set \(S\) is a map associating to any \(n\)-tuple of elements of \(S\) a nonzero fuzzy subset of \(S\), this instead of a nonempty subset of \(S\). The connections between these fuzzy \(n\)-ary hyperstructures and corresponding \(n\)-ary hyperstructures are given. Finally, the fuzzy \(n\)-ary hyperstructures homomorphisms and algebraic substructures of fuzzy \(n\)-ary hyperstructures are considered.
