This paper considers the finite-time stability problem for switched systems subject to both nonlinear perturbation and impulsive effects \[ \begin{aligned} \dot{x}(t)& = A_{\sigma(t)} x(t) + f_{\sigma(t)}(t,x(t)),\quad t\in (t_{k-1}, t_k],\;k=1,2,\dots \\ \Delta x(t) &= x(t_k^+) - x(t_k) = F_k x(t),\quad t = t_k\\ x(0^+)& = x_0,\end{aligned} \tag{1} \] where \(x\in\mathbb R^n\), and the index function \(\sigma(t): (0,T)\mapsto {\mathbf S}= \{1,\dotsc,s\}\) is the switching signal, and \(A_i\) is a constant matrix, \(f_i(t,x(t))\) is the nonlinear perturbation satisfying \[ \|f_i(t,x(t))\| \leq \gamma \|x(t)\| + \beta(t),\quad i\in {\mathbf S},\tag{2} \] with \(\gamma > 0\) being a constant, \(\beta(t)\geq 0\) a Lebesgue function such that \(\int_0^T e^{\lambda \tau}\beta(\tau)\, d \tau < \infty\). The authors derive a criterion guaranteeing that the state trajectory does not exceed a certain threshold over a pre-specified finite-time interval. The finite-time stability degree as defined in the paper, i.e., the constant \(\lambda\) such that \[ \|x(t)\|\leq \alpha e^{\lambda t} \|x(t_0)\|,\quad 0\leq t\leq T, \] can be positive.
