Let \(G\) be a group and \(\widehat G\) its pro-\(p\) completion. Then the natural homomorphism \(G\to\widehat G\) induces the homomorphisms \(H^n(\widehat G,\mathbb{Z}/p)\to H^n(G,\mathbb{Z}/p)\). The author establishes new classes of groups for which these homomorphisms are isomorphisms (groups having this property are called pro-\(p\) good by some authors). The property is proved for right angled Artin groups (very important groups in geometric group theory). Furthermore, the author proves that this property is preserved by certain types of free products with amalgamation. Namely, it is proved in the paper that an amalgamated free product \(G=G_1*_AG_2\) inherits this property from \(G_1/A\), \(G_2/A\) if \(A\) is finitely generated central in both \(G_1,G_2\), and from \(G_1,G_2\) if \(G_1,G_2\) are residually \(p\) and \(A\) is cyclic.
