    The authors consider nondegenerate affine hypersurfaces \(M^ n\subset\mathbb{R}^{n+1}\) which are locally homogeneous, i.e. such that for all points \(p,q\in M\), there exists a neighborhood \(U_ p\) of \(p\) in \(M\), and an equiaffine transformation \(A\) of \(\mathbb{R}^{n+1}\), such that \(A(p)= q\) and \(A(U_ p)\subset M\). They prove the following: Main Theorem. Let \(M\) be a locally strongly convex, locally homogeneous affine hypersurface such that the rank of the shape operator is one, i.e. \(\text{rank}(S)= 1\). Then \(M\) is affinely equivalent to the convex part of the hypersurface with equation \[ \left(Z-{1\over 2}\sum^ r_{i=1} X^ 2_ i\right)^{r+2}\left(W-{1\over 2}\sum^ s_{j=1} Y^ 2_ j\right)^{s+2}= 1, \] where \(r+ s= n-1\) and \((X_ 1,\dots, X_ r, Y_ 1,\dots,Y_ s, Z, W)\) are the coordinates of \(\mathbb{R}^{n+1}\).
