On Lyapunov-type inequalities for certain higher order differential equations (Q1910017)

The author derives Lyapunov-type inequalities for certain higher order differential equations which relate the points at which the solutions and their derivatives have zeros. Under certain conditions on the functions \(r,p,g,h,f,Q\), these inequalities are obtained for the equations \[ D^n \Bigl[ r(t) D^{n - 1} \biggl[ p(t)g \bigl( y'(t) \bigr) \biggr] \Bigr] + y(t)f \bigl( t'y (t) \bigr) = Q (t), \] \[ D^n \Bigl[ r(t) D^{n - 1} \biggl[ p(t)h \bigl( y(t) \bigr) y'(t) \biggr] \Bigr] + y(t)f \bigl( t,y(t) \bigr) = Q(t), \] \[ D^n \Bigl[ r(t) D^{n - 1} \biggl[ p(t)h \bigl( y(t) \bigr) g \bigl( y'(t) \bigr) \biggr] \Bigr] + y(t)f \bigl( t,y(t) \bigr) = Q(t), \] where \(D^n = d^n/dt^n\). Some applications of the results are given.
