The authors suggest and analyze a coupled finite element-boundary element method for solving inhomogeneous boundary value problems in complex three-dimensional domains. A rigorous error analysis is carried out. It will be an interesting feature to derive the error estimates for the discrete problems using the finite element-boundary element methods. Some numerical examples are given to illustrate the efficiency of the proposed method.
