Embedding problem of noncompact fuzzy number space \(E^\sim\). I (Q1304261)

An embedding theorem between a fuzzy number space and a suitable Banach space due to the first author and \textit{Ming Ma} [ibid. 44, No. 1, 33-38 (1991; Zbl 0757.46066)] is extended to the more general context of noncompact spaces. This paper can be seen as a natural sequel of the papers of the above cited authors [\textit{Ma Ming}, ibid. 58, No. 2, 185-193 (1993; Zbl 0789.46069); \textit{Wu Congxin} and \textit{Ma Ming}, ibid. 45, No. 2, 189-202 (1992; Zbl 0771.46045); 46, No. 2, 281-286 (1992; Zbl 0774.54003)].
