An efficient energy minimization for conformal parameterizations (Q1685509)

The authors propose an efficient conformal energy minimization (CEM) algorithm and applying this new algorithm, they successfully compute the conformal parameterization of simply-connected open surfaces with a very small angular distortion. After that, they generalize the above mentioned CEM algorithm to compute conformal parameterizations of multiply-connected surfaces. Finally, in the last section, the authors present an application of the CEM algorithm on the surface morphing between simply connected open surfaces.
